I thought that would be a good topic for "finders and scavengers". If you are very very pretty yet eat roadkill I will still date you. But no kissing.

Re: Why I eat road-kill
Sat, April 7, 2007 - 8:24 AMaround here if you hit a deer they will either let you keep it to eat or the highway patrol will clean it out and keep it. does that count as road kill? i have never eaten it myself-and i'm not just saying that because i am madly in love with swaz and want to kiss him-but it is a pretty common practice. someone gave me some once and the dogs seemed to really enjoy it. -

So if I kissed your dogs I guess they would taste "gamey" then? I don't kiss people who eat dogs though. Let's just get that straight.

Re: Why I eat road-kill
Thu, November 6, 2008 - 3:42 PMI've eaten road kill, if you count venison that commits suicide on my windshield. Actually, I don't care for venison but a friend of mine can prepare it well enough for me to eat a bit of it. Waste not ...
I read a collection of stories by an author whose name escapes me right now. One was called DOA (dead-on-arrival). It was about a pair of researchers who were collecting, counting and categorizing local wildlife in the form of roadkill. They'd drive along the highway and stop when they found a carcass. They'd note all the specifications and if it was fresh, they'd eat it.
I read that story 30 years ago and it still leaves an impression (tread marks).
