Hi,

I've been playing around with the idea of creating a site dedicated to freecycling / re-using stuff. One problem with the existing Freecycle lists is that it's hard to find exactly what you're looking for, since you need to sign up, monitor it, etc. So I'm working on creating an alternative, where geographic information and search is central to finding/submitting new items. You can simply enter a few keywords to search for and your location and the items show up on a map.

The project still needs a lot of polish, but is fully functional at the moment. Eventually I'm planning to add a "wanted" feature, which notify you if your keywords match a newly submitted item.
