is there anything that you pick up on a daily basis? what catches your eye that can be found in the streets or yards of your daily traverse?
me? i am drawn to the small rusted, flat circles of metal, be they crushed bottlecaps, old washers, or flattened spirals of thin wire. i have about 5 small glass jars of them at home...
what gets ya on the daily?

A house on my way to work has a big 3-blade airplane propeller in the back yard. Don't ask my why but I want it. I'm Hoping to spot it in the trash one day.

I have an inexpensive little statue of a laughing buddha; he's got a pack and a pike and seems to be travelling somewhere. He presides over a small candy dish in a corner of the living room, where I put small objects that I find; washers, nuts (both man-made and naturally occurring), marbles, pebbles, perhaps an occasional coin, and so forth.
I'm not sure what this buddha icon originally means, but I consider it an homage to lucky travels.
